This Blog is about college picks

If a couple plays had gone their way last season, the Wildcats could have earned their first trip to the Rose Bowl. But considering how poorly their postseason went in a 33-0 loss to Nebraska in the Holiday Bowl, maybe it’s a good thing they didn’t face Ohio State in Pasadena.
Arizona visits another Ohio team to open this campaign and with 10 starters back on offense is a heavy favorite to dismantle the Rockets. But don’t discount Toledo too soon. The Rockets have won five of their past six home games against BCS foes.
Toledo WR Eric Page gets more than the maximum out of his 5-foot-10, 175-pound frame. Last season, he was the most productive freshman receiver in the land, hauling in 82 passes for 1,159 yards. The Rockets will have new starters at QB (Austin Dantin) and RB (Morgan Williams), but they do have some experience and the benefit of a veteran offensive line.
The Wildcats, who must replace seven starters on defense and both of their coordinators from last season (OC Sonny Dykes took over at Louisiana Tech and DC Mark Stoops is now performing those duties at Florida State), shouldn’t expect for things to go smoothly at the Glass Bowl.
Opening point spread: Arizona by 12.5
Pick: Arizona 32-27.
